This A5 book cover is for 10-12 year old children/young adults. The story is about a ghost in Ireland - more details below.
All entries will be considered. We intend on choosing one of the entries because previous contests have been so successful.
** Illustration must be unique – no clipart or stolen images please.

The illustration must have:
• An old, multi-story castle with a big grand front door, lots of windows and chimneys and parapets at the corners. The castle does not have to look exactly like Carrickfergus.
• An ocean nearby (because the castle sits on a big rock on the edge of the ocean).
• Leading from the front door is a cobblestone path. Standing on the path facing the viewer is a ghost.
• The ghost is a young Irish man around 18 years old. He has curly short hair. You should be able to tell he is a ghost but also a man.

Other ideas to use as inspiration:
• Perhaps the windows all shine different colours (to make it look mysterious and a little spooky).
• If the illustration also includes the castle grounds, they should be tidy, manicured lawns with a beautiful cottage garden.
• The ghost has no legs and is made of a smoky ghost effect.
• The ghost has a ring on one finger with an aquamarine stone in it.
• There is chain around his neck with a gold coin hanging from it.
• The ghost could be carrying a travel bag/suitcase in one hand.
• The ghost could be holding an old piece of rolled up paper with a red ribbon around it (like an old scroll).
