Our website needs some modifications to certain web forms for PCI Compliance. When completed, our forms send an email with the contact info to a specific email address in the code. We’re currently doing form validation through client-side javascript, but the PCI Compliance security requires that code to be server-side, through ASP. So, I need a programmer who can create the server-side scripting necessary to validate the forms before they are able to be submitted.
The requirements are:
1. The name, owner, manager, buyer and business type fields should be alphanumeric (no special characters such as < or > accepted)
2. The telephone, fax and number of employees fields should be numbers with the – and . characters only
3. The email field should be validated to accept alphanumeric characters plus the _ - . and @ characters only
4. All remaining fields should be alphanumeric plus the characters _ - . ? “ ‘ : ; and , only
Ideally, we should have the ability to set specific form fields to be required, and others not required, but requiring all fields would be simpler, and acceptable if necessary. If one of the fields has improper characters (specifically but not restricted to the < and > chars), the user should see a window advising them of the error, which must be fixed before the form can be submitted and the email generated. The validation, when correctly completed, should not interfere with the email submission portion of the code
