A university campus is located across three cities, geographically remote (cities are in a triangular position with 50 miles between them); each campus consists of up to 4 buildings, all having a ground floor + 3 upper floors. The three campuses include the following types of locations: staff offices, open access areas, labs, classrooms, and wireless connectivity, both for staff/students and for guests.
The campuses and buildings are used as follows:
- Campus 1:
o One building is for computer labs, with 10 labs/floor and 30 seats/lab
o Two buildings are for lecturing, with 15 classrooms/floor and each classroom with two computers
o One building is for staff, with 20 offices/floor and two sockets per office
o connected to campus 3 via frame relay
- Campus 2:
o Three buildings are for staff, with 20 offices/floor and two sockets per office
o connected to campus 3 via ppp
- Campus 3:
o two buildings are for lecturing, with 15 classrooms/floor and each classroom with two computers
o one building is for staff, with 20 offices/floor and two sockets per office
o one building is for open access, with an open access area on each floor, each open access with 50 computers; this particular building also provides the Internet uplink and is the only building with a basement, where the data centre of the university is located
o connected to the Internet via dedicated fibre connection.

Design a network for the campus, to consider the following factors:
- IP addressing design and assignment (DHCP and static) – all in IPv4
- VLAN assignment
- Hierarchical switching design
- Routing (multiarea OSPF)
- Physical infrastructure (what devices to use)
- Link aggregation
- Remote access user and inter-site VPN connectivity
- Inter-building connectivity using link aggregation
Describe the design, highlighting the undertaken steps and a diagram of the resulting infrastructure. Include explanations for the design considerations, to clearly state the choices made in the design and the rationale that led to them.
Feel free to add assumption or requirements to the network in order for the design to be successful (e.g. redundant inter-building and inter-campus connectivity are in place, networking rooms/cabinets are available, etc).
Implement parts of the proposed design in Packet Tracer, using exemplary access networks and hosts (e.g. replicate a building by using only 1-2 rooms in it, each with 1-2 hosts actually connected to the access switches), but include sufficient elements to be able to demonstrate the switching and routing design, as well as DHCP.
