MESSAGES IN THE MEDIA ASSIGNMENT
Research and select one of the following: a movie, commercial/ad, television show, song/song lyrics, video game, website or blog that relay messages to society and possibly promote behaviors. These messages and/or behaviors can be positive or negative and can be of goodwill and very empowering. The messages could also perpetuate gender stereotypes or can be perceived as racist, sexist, or somehow misinterpreted in society.

Discuss ONE of the following deviant acts ( a behavior that violates the norms set in society)
Murder, Prostitution, Alcohol/Drug Abuse, Larceny, Using a Fake ID, Underage Drinking, Texting While Driving, Drunk Driving, Marijuana use, Cheating ( either in school or in a relationship) Vandalism or any other deviant act of your choosing
What makes the act deviant?
Why is it viewed negatively by society?
How does it impact society?
Where, and in which circumstances, might each act be considered "normal" or ok?
How can the act be justified?
Who justifies it and why?
Think broad and outside of the box. You can expand on your topic. You can make connections to current events, or if your topic has been publicized or in the news. You must use ONE piece of factual , researched information, statistics etc, to support your thoughts
