So, reflection means 'to reflect', to throw back, to think carefully about, to ponder, to contemplate. 4. There is no question as such and this might be unsettling. If this is the case, my advice is to frame it as a question: How is the nineteenth century reflected in contemporary Australia - think about this using 3 examples? Or, In what ways does what we've learnt about nineteenth century Australia resonate with contemporary Australia? 5. This might then be your framing device. So that in your introduction and in the body you see yourself as answering this question. 6. You can be creative - there is no formula. 7. The normal conventions of an essay are relaxed here because it is not a formal exercise. So, bibliography not needed. References can be incorporated in brackets in the text or you can footnote if you wish.
