Require an expert with PROVEN experience in Amazon Web Services. Job is to provide advice and perform changes to an existing Amazon AWS hosted website. Existing site is a customised WordPress site so experience with the LAMP stack is essential. Main requirements are to scale back an existing AWS infrastructure which is currently costing too much for it's purpose. There are redundant databases, load balancer etc. The site is not in production so does not need such a large infrastructure setup. You will be expected to provide expert advice, answers to questions and ultimately once agreed implement the changes ensuring the website remains fully functional. I want to implement other elements like a fully daily backup and a full backup and test restore carried out prior to any work being done. I have a strong technical background and some experience with AWS so you will be dealing with someone who understands the technical nature of these things. For time reasons I do not want to learn and carry out the work myself but I do have a very good knowledge of such things. This should make communication on requirements much easier. Pay will be hourly according to the work required. So please be sure to include your hourly rate. The site you are working on is very professional and my hope is to establish a long term relationship with a good resource. Feedback - DO NOT ASK ME WHAT I NEED OR MORE DETAILS. The responses I want to see demonstrate YOUR experience with AWS. Tell me about what you've done, provide example URL's where possible, talk about high availability. BE SPECIFIC. I'm paying well for this, no rookies. Sorry guys but I get too many vague responses which are a waste of time. Sell yourself. Amaze me with your knowledge. Hi The overall architecture must consist of a dev stack, Staging stack and finally the production. As far as deploying the code is concerned it must be done with git webhooks rather then ssh and then calling the git commands. And since the website isn't at production so opting for HA will be too early at this stage. As far as the backup and restoration is concerned, there're many options to consider. 1. Snapshot via AWS API 2. Taking db dumps to s3 bucket. Most importantly all AWS resources are ephemeral so failover is a must irrespective of the dev/staging or production env. As far as my AWS experience are concerned you can have a look at my profile. Coz I don't think that sending a bunch of URL will make that much of a noticeable difference. I've worked across various domains that utilizes AWS, like implementing a dev, staging to production Infrastructure for a site, Big-Data (for my own startup idea), Mobile APP using AWS Elastic transcoder to name a few. Hello there, I am new to Freelancer, but not to AWS. I've been an IT engineer and developer for 20 years and feel very passionate about every project that I touch. I've been working with AWS for 4 years and have an excellent working knowledge of EC2, RDS, S3 Route 53, ELB and Beanstalk. I've overseen some mid size projects like converting an entire physical data center to AWS with zero downtime. In my own AWS deployment I manage about 40 instances, 80 volumes and hundreds of snapshots. I developed my own management tools using the Ruby SDK for things like asset tracking and automated snapshot generation and porting snapshots between EC2 Regions. Thank you for your consideration!

I am a WordPress and AWS expert. I know exactly what it takes to take all WordPress assets (images, etc) and put them into a central storage system so that multiple web servers can handle them from that central place. This increases performance and decreases storage costs. Additionally, I would (depending on your current servers) use more small-size servers rather than larger ones. Doing this allows you to have more uptime if any servers fail. It also would be able to scale based on time or load. Hello, I have significant experience working with AWS. I work as a senior engineer for JUST EAT, who's ecommerce platform is run entirely on AWS. (note that this bid is in no way affiliated with JUST EAT - I am bidding from a personal capacity). I have designed, implemented, managed, migrated to and ultimately automated large, highly available, scalable infrastructure capable of serving millions of users through peak hours, and scaling back down as necessary during off-peak hours. I have experience with almost all of the services AWS provides. Outside of AWS, in the past I ran a website hosting business (as a hobby, non-profit) that was LAMP stack based, and subsequently supported many thousands of websites running wordpress, drupal, various forums etc. I am new to Freelancer.com, and this is the second project I'm bidding on.
