KIMA
Kima is a sound visualisation installation, which explores music as interactive and synaesthetic phenomenon. The art piece is based on the conditions of cymatics, the study of physically visible sound patterns. The word ‘Kima’ means ‘wave’ in ancient Greek; in this real-time environment, users experience the waveform both in its sonic and its physical aspects as an ever-changing stimulus - projected into the space around them.

You will be working in a close team of 4 people, along with musicians to create a specific performance at the Union Chapel. This work involves projection mapping, but there is a dedicated person working on this side of the project, so you will work in collaboration with each other.
