Content Writing

We're working on a financial blog and need writers! This is a job with long term potential but will start off with ~1-2 months workload with articles being requested on a per week basis. Content is essential to us here. We are focused on the quality and not the quantity of articles. There are tons of topics in the US personal finance realm and we want to find writers who are willing to focus on writing on topics that are popular and unique that attract actual user attention. This is not a content mill position. Please submit a cover letter that is personalized to this role in addition to writing samples pertaining to personal finance and/or other topics are accepted as well. Please let us know where the articles were posted as well. Writers who submit a personalized CL are more likely to be considered. We will need references from prior clients that you have worked with. Here are the ''guidelines/vision that we have for the general theme if you are interested in the role. Our focus is on blog posts that give our site relevance and as an authority figure on the topic of personal finance for individuals who are interested in personal finance from a general perspective, not an academic perspectice. Requirements: -Must be based in the US, CA, UK, AU. -Prior experience writing about personal finance is heavily favored but not necessary. The position is focused on US personal finance, so preference also falls onto writers who have existing knowledge of US personal finance and US financial products -Needs to be able to come up with own select topics and creative titles every week for articles and be able to work independently without us having to check in once assignments are due. Chosen topics submitted will be reviewed and assigned. -Needs to be able to work with a content manager, well organized, and be able to meet weekly deadlines appropriately while maintaining quality articles. -Prior experience with SEO understanding preferred where we can give a few select keywords per article that is naturally inserted in to the article multiple times in order page rank. Skillset: -Experience with HTML and Wordpress is preferred -Writing style must be conversational as the types of articles are meant to explain personal finance in layman terms. We are not looking to write research papers. -As an addendum to the above, writers who can write Buzzfeed style articles with clickbait titles and list writing styles preferred Payment: We prefer paying a fix rate per article. Content is king and word count less so. Articles can vary in range, so you can submit a bid for tier pricing that you may charge. (EG. Under 600 words is X price, 700-1000 is Y price, 1000-1500 is Z price). You may also submit one single fixed rate price or your charge per word. Tier pricing or single fixed rate pricing are preferred. We prefer writers who are a bit flexible with word count if needed. Thanks and reach out with any questions!
