First, anthropology is my passion and I am a student in the anthropology department, University of Dhaka. Secondly, I have been doing ethnography for almost a year now. Thirdly, I have presented my papers in anthropological conferences in Bangladesh. I have uploaded a tiny fraction of my latest research in my portfolio (see the “Sample Essay: Academic Style” file).
I have sound understanding of the keywords you mentioned. I can write with or without academic jargons. I read anthropological, sociological, psychological (but mostly anthropological) accounts regularly for my own academic purpose. I have read, at least one or two, primary sources of major intellectuals of 20th century that include, among others, Marx, Walter Benjamin, Durkheim, Weber, Freud, Malinowski, Leach, Godelier, Althusser, Barth, Foucault, Talal Asad, Clifford Geertz, Margaret Mead, Veena Das, Charles Briggs, Dipesh Chakrabarty etc. Therefore, I can cite form original as well as secondary sources.
What I am trying to convey is that the depth of understanding I seek to achieve is not just for gaining a certificate. It comes from my own passion. I invite you to communicate with me for a more detailed discussion.
