Function:
Assign a hotkey. Press this hotkey to trigger mouse to click at a specific X-Y coordinate and also open a mp3 file stored in C:\ using the default mp3 program. After, will return mouse to original location prior to when hotkey triggered.
Will be able to assign any number of mp3 files to be played. For example, if 2 mp3 files assigned, and assuming hotkey is assigned to "F1"...
- If user presses "F1" hotkey will click mouse at a specific coordinate, open the first mp3 file, and return mouse to where it was.
- If user presses "F1" again, it will click mouse at a specific coordinates, open the second mp3 file, and return mouse to where it was.
- If user presses "F1" again for third time, will click mouse at a specific coordinates, open the first mp3 file, and return mouse to where it was.
...
I need to be able to have flexibility to setup any number of hotkeys, and will need a tutor show me how to do this rather than to just do it for me.
This is an hourly job, and I assume should be a quick and easy job assuming you are an expert at this. Would need to work in Windows XP environment.
In your bid, let me know the program you are suggesting we use.
Hi, i'm an AutoIT expert, i can make you a working script in 6 hours of work.
It can have an intuitiv gui from whitch you can modify any aspects of the script.
i will include the commented source code for easy understanding of autoit coding.
if you want it can even play the mp3's without any external player.
thanks
Hello MacroEvolve!
I can help you! This is an easy program.
First, we save the MousePos() into a variable.
Then, we do a MouseClick() and also OpenMp3()
Finally, MouseMove() back to the saved position.
Our job is create a GUI and manage the key assignment.
We will use AutoIt, and the script can be compiled into *.exe (Runable on WinXP, Win7, Win8 - 64 and 32)
I will also give you the source code and enthusiastic support.
Thanks for your time!
This appears to be a fairly simple project. The devil is in the details! I have a few questions:
1) Is the specific X-Y coordinate you wish to click on relative to the active window or the whole screen? Is it a fixed coordinate, or might it change on different machines or different runs?
2) Do you need the hotkey reconfigurable on the fly ( i.e., while the program is running ), or do you just need to know how to change it?
3) Is it always going to be two specific mp3 files, or is it just meant to rotate through whichever mp3's are in a specific directory?
I have been writing fairly sophisticated autohotkey programs (both self-contained programs and wrapper scripts) for over ten years. Given full specs, I can get this done quickly and well.
