I believe I am best suited for this role because I am in fact passionate about health, fitness and improving my mindset to achieve a better quality of life. I think your project is an important one and deserves a properly researched and truthfully put together blog that the lay person can follow. I believe I am well suited to this task for several reasons.
Firstly as indicated at the beginning I am very passionate about the themes of the blog. Second but also most importantly, I believe my educational background is a significant asset. I am completing a PhD on the effects of diet as an early life stressor, and the long-term health implications of exposure to bad nutrition in early life. My PhD knowledge coupled with my passion for health and fitness-related information, I believe will make for interesting insights.
Third and lastly, I am in the process of transforming myself through healthier eating and exercise in order to do a triathlon. I am doing this on a vegetarian diet, eating naturally. I believe that my personal accounts of my progress and my nutrition, as well as suggestions for the exercises that are working well for me would prove invaluable. If I am able to share how I set goals to achieve a higher level of fitness, it might not only educate but also inspire. This would "a day in the life of" series. It may not only be insights from myself but from other ordinary non-professional athletes in the same situation.
