Development of small IE 6,7,8 plugin (a BHO)

The BHO should do certain things: 1. Provide a button on toolbar that user can click 2. On click a sidebar will open (custom sidebar that will contain another WebBrowser control) 3. In sidebar a page defined in BHO configuration will be loaded 4. On this page you will find a button 5. When user will click this button, control should go back to BHO 6. BHO should check if active webpage match a webpage defined in configuration (i.e. it is [login to view URL]) 7. Some values from this webpage should be read (reading Document using DOM API) 8. And webpage should be redirected to new address with these values as parameters. Just one thing - if the page in active tab won't be one that we expect some error message should be presented. Saying: "please go to page 'xxx' first' - this message can be presented in sidebar webpage as a new div added dynamically to this page, or you can come up with your solution here. In configuration of BHO, we need to define: 1. URL of page that will be presented in sidebar 2. Name of the button (button ID) to which on_click event BHO will listen 3. URLs of the webpage that we would monitor (assumption is that all of them will have the same form field, so in case of [login to view URL], Google UK, etc) 4. URL to which a filed be redirected for now the value will just be pasted into form there (so no automatic search). However if in the URL a value {searchTerm} is present, value instead of being put into a form should just redirect to this URL properly escaping (UTF-8) keywords copied from other page (so every space will become %20 etc). All ought to be written in C++ (Visual Studio 2008), preferably without ATL or as a project that will be configured to run well in Express Edition of Visual C++. (I'm using professional version, but my friend is Mac guy and don't want to invest much in tools). Also, due to the nature of every BHO a set of registry entries should be added by some kind of installation script (all values should be removed as well of course). It could be something so simple as batch file, however I prefer something like NSIS installer ([login to view URL]). I've written dozen of various BHO, but just don't have time now for it as I'm busy with other projects. Please let me know what you think...
