Craking Passwords using decryption Tools

This project involves cracking passwords using decryption tools based on parallel computing GPUs. Example tools are John the nipper and Cain and Abel. I would like to examine some password cracking tools. Calculate the time and effort needed. We need to find the tools and describe the methods then test using different strength password. Try applying rainbow tables and GPUs. I would also like to learn more about this subject matter so if you are willing to teach, please include bid for teaching.
