I have a Device which can have its firmware/software updated by inserting it into the PCMCIA slot and programming it with software provided by the manufacturer. But there are 2 different versions of this device, that only differ in the software that is on them, and thus having different options/capabilities. There is the light version and the Full version. They each have their different program to program the device. There is also a different software update version for the different firmware updates that have been released over the years.
It is not possible to use the software for the Full version (so the one with more options/capabilites) to program the Light version. The idea is that if this were possible one would so to say upgrade the Light version to the Full version. This is possible though, but only by sending in the device to the manufacturer and paying them for doing the programming update (the hardware is exactly the same!).
If one inserts a Light version and runs the Full software update, the program says that the software is not the right one for the device and aborts.
I am looking for someone that can edit the software for the Full version, so that it can also program/upgrade the Light version with the Full software.
Attached is a zip file with both the Light and the Full version of the software.
