The program now take input from two file and produce a destination file with many access to the disk. The program that i need must read the two input file from a disk and load all data in a vector on ram. After this read from disk no other operation must be done with disk access. The program must work with little file in input: max 300kb. The output file is not necessary because i want that data rest in ram in a byte vector; The start source code is written by Colin Percival and is downloadable here: [login to view URL] . The work to do is only on bspatch program. I want this changement becase i want use this program with i microcontroller that don't have disk access. The data will arrive to the microcontroller by serial comunication but i take care of serial protocol.

I am a Computer Science and Mathematics graduate from the 1990s, and have read about the Burrows-Wheeler data compression algorithm (and also used bzip about 10 years ago), so I think I am familiar with the subject area. I have plenty of C programming experience, so I am very comfortable with C. I have had a quick look at the source code in the link that you sent me, and it looks as if basically all I would have to do is to read the input file and patch file into memory, decompress the patch file in memory (this might not be trivial, but I think I could work it out), and then do the patching in memory. I am happy to do the project for almost nothing (40 Euros) in order to try to establish a reputation on freelancer.com. I am fairly new to freelancer.com.
