Compile information about the Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki

We are creating a website about topical people, themes and concepts in the fields of social theory and culture, to be presented by means of infographics and short video clips. We are now looking for researcher to compile concise information sets to be used as the textual framework for data visualization. We first need the information that is to be visualized later – so researchers are not expected to design the final outcome. Instead, we are now looking for experts of these themes. There is no need for a comprehensive and exhaustive theoretical presentation though. The aim is to briefly present something both funny and useful that is not found in other – more serious and specialist webpages. The data will be compiled in English, avoiding direct quotations from the commentary literature. The idea, therefore, is to bring out interesting and hopefully less well-known aspects of such thinkers and cultural representatives who have changed the way we think about the areas they represent. These characters must be relevant and topical for today's students. The following theme needs a compiler: - Hayao Miyazaki Of this film director and animator you should: 1) briefly mention his significance (max two sentences) 2) create a timeline (by emphasizing unconventional and surprising facts alongside the obligatory ones) 3) compile two information sets (for two infographics), and finally, 4) recommend five publications (or other works – in this case films) It is much easier to compile the information if you have even a rough idea about the end result. Therefore, it is recommended to take a look of the forms of data visualization and the possibilities of information graphics. Many of these are based on different kind of lists, comparisons and contextualizations. If you have an idea of the outcome, then it becomes easier to identify what is important and what is not and in this way save some time. To repeat, we are not seeking for long papers or anything similar. On the contrary, the material must be concise. What is more important is to find an interesting idea about how the compiled information would form a meaningful whole that is, as said, both interesting and amusing for today’s students.
