My day job is working as an IT Administrator for a UK University, and so I am experienced in processing sensitive and confidential data.
I'm very used to taking data from different Excel files (as well as other data sources), that are usually in varying formats or have different fields and unclean data, and then processing the data to form one unified data set, that can, for example, easily be added to, uploaded to an external database or used to pull off accurate statistics.
I have created and worked with Access databases too, and so the 'relational' aspect is second nature to me. I'm extremely fastidious (coming from an IT Support and Testing technical background), and so no stone is left unturned when it comes to me making sure that all of the data I process is complete and accurate.
Depending upon the data that you have, I'll probably use one or a combination of, Excel formula, Excel functions, some manual work or VBA if needed.
