We currently have an excel add in which looks up Bing maps based on (long 1, lat 1, long 2, long 2). The data is used within excel to create a pricelist of distances with Sydney NSW. We are a courier company and use the excel data to match our dispatch software, also using BING (note that the dispatch software will calculate the fastest route, nothing avoided). As of late, there is a difference between our current add in and the dispatch software, which is causing pricing errors. The current add in is an update from the precious one, which stopped working one we changed our OS to Windows 8/8.1. Map provider use did not change. The errors seem to be more prevalent on longer distances. We can supply you with the excel files containing all Long/Lat locations, and the current add in for your evalulation.

Hi, I read the source code of your add in and realize that it calculated the cheapest route (minimized toll), so that could be the problem to cause the different. I can fix that problem for you. Another reason is maybe the add in is updated with newer information and your dispatch software is not, and if that is the case then I could not help you much. Regards,

I doubt that whether this is a problem iin excel addin or bing maps. Do you have an idea that how dispatcher software is calculating distances??
