My sample article is appended below:- RULES FOR GETTING A DRIVING LICENSE There are various types of driving licenses in India, viz., two wheelers, with a split between 50 cc and above 50 cc vehicles. Three wheelers like Auto, Light motor vehicle like Cars and Heavy commercial vehicle like Trucks, Busses. For getting any permanent License, one has to apply for Learner License which is valid for a period of 180 days. Learner license is issued subject to the applicant passing oral test. If he fails, he can re-appear within 7 days It is mandatory that the Learner License holder has to keep one permanent license holder in the pillion in a two wheeler and in the case of other vehicle a Licensed driver should be seated next to the learner and a sign board reading “L” should be hosted in the front and rear of the vehicle, otherwise he is held a traffic offender and be fined. After 30 days but within 180 days, the learner can apply for permanent license which is subject to his passing colour blindness test and Learner test, after his application, in the prescribed forms is accepted by the jurisdictional Registering authority of the region and payment of necessary fees is received by the Licensing authority. The permanent license is not to be used for racing purpose. For persons below the age of 50, the permanent license is issued for 15- 20 years (varies from state to state) and after 50 years, one can renew for 5 years only. In India, every state has a Licensing Authority in Regional Transport Offices, which issues the driving licenses. The minimum age for small two wheelers of 50 CC or less is 14 years, for two wheelers above 50 CC is 16-18 years and for all other vehicle it is minimum 18 years.
