Design of a microcontroller based three term industrial controller

Task is to design a microprocessor-based three term controller (proportional, integral and derivative actions). The controller will be used for controlling temperature. The system specification is; 8-bit PIC microprocessor ROM and RAM of suitable capacities Input/output devices as necessary Analogue input signals will be 4 – 20mA Analogue output signals will be 1 – 5v (note that an external D/A may be used) Operator can enter Setpoint, PB, IAT, DAT (choose an appropriate operator entry, and numerical display system Facility for remote computer setting of Setpoint (sent by serial link) Case study material concerning the design of controllers and the theory behind control actions will be provided. Your design should consist of two diagrams: 1) Circuit schematic (do not include a DC power supply – assume DC is fed from a separate source in the control panel that will house the controller with description . 2) A detailed layout drawing of the front panel of your controller‎ with description.  With the addition below (3) 3) However, you must include a third item, which is an advertisement that can be placed in a technical journal. The advertisement (no more than 150 words, plus any simple diagrams/photographs should promote the sale of your controller to industrial instrumentation/control engineers. This means that you should include important and relevant specifications.  4) Finally you should also submit a flow chart that will provide the basis for the software design.
