I have a list of General Ledger accounting codes with descriptions. The goal is to create an access database that will be user friendly. For example, we would upload all the GL account codes and descriptions and the users will be able to key an account code or description and the database will return the GL code that matches the search. I think access would be the best option for this. Also, we need an access database to manage our contracts. Something that we would enter client information and orders, some of these orders have trigger price increase over time so the data base will need to remind us of all the time base triggers, either trough an email reminder or some other form of reporting. the ideal candidate must be an expert or excel and have experience with data bases. We have Time sensitive projects all the time so looking for someone we can work with long term. if you have any questions let me know,

Hello! I work with VBA, Excel and Access and have created hundreds of scripts and databases. I see next steps in this project: 1. Creating first access( maybe excel) database for General Ledger. 1.1. Creating Userform for it. 1.2 Creating Search options. Will take 2-3 days. 2. Creating first access( maybe excel) database for General Ledger 2.1 Creating one or two user form. 2.2 Creating Rules. 2.3 Creating email reminder Will take 4-5 days. Hi, I am new to Freelancer and I am interest in gaining a good reputation. Which is why I putting in a low bid and allowed 10 days to cover any additional requirements not in the description. From your description what you are looking for is fairly straight forward. I would suggest 3 primary screens: 1) A GL Codes screen to allow you to create, read, update and delete all code details with a simple search box where the user can enter all or part of the code to filter the list 2) A basic customer management screen to allow you to create, read, update and delete all contact details 3) I am not fully clear on the requirements here are the orders adhoc or do you need to maintain stock info that orders are against. E.G Customer: John Doe Order: "dozen red roses" Customer:John Doe item code:52 item description: Red Roses Qty: 12 4) We will need to define the triggers and the effect, but there are various methods to have an access send alert emails. This can get messy with security permissions and the specifics of your IT set up. To simplify things I would suggest the following: A user opens the database and runs a report as needed should any triggers be in effect emails are automatically generated and sent from the users account. Technically I have 15+ years developing Access & SQL Server applications so I believe I should be able to provide the application you require. Regards, Simon

I've been working in the IT industry for the past 20 years with the last few years focusing on developing and enhancing MS ACCESS projects for small to medium sized businesses. MS ACCESS database achievements include – • Developed from scratch a Work order generator • Developed from scratch an Inventory management system. The program was recently upgraded from XP to Windows 7 successfully. • Developed from scratch an Advertising and Media Spend database • Developed from scratch a Reports Module Generator for a government agency. • Maintained and enhanced several data collection databases primarily used for statistical analysis by the Childrens Hospital at Westmead. • Maintained a complex sales database • Redesigned Marketing database to better suit the business needs • Developed data cleansing routines in ACCESS to validate data prior to sending out to clients. • Maintained and extended the CRM database for a marketing company • Successfully upgraded applications from older ACCESS versions (97, 2003) across to ACCESS 2010. • Successfully built interface to MYOB for Inventory management system. I have worked with all versions of ACCESS from 97 through to 2013.
