Grace scrolled through the images with a look of disdain, as she tried to find a suitable date. It wasn't her idea - it never was, but since her sister, Amy, wouldn't leave her alone until she did, it was the only viable option that would give her some much-needed peace and quiet.
It wasn't that Grace was unattractive; in all reality, she had a slim physique, and was more toned than most women half her age. She wasn't even unpleasant company. Actually, she quite liked her own company. There was nothing quite like the peace and quiet at the end of a long day, and the ability to go to bed whenever she wanted and think of absolutely no one but herself. That, to Grace, was what the 'attached' world was missing.
But tonight, Grace found herself giving in to her sister's pressure, inspecting image after image for a glimpse of a man that was perhaps not so egotistic as the one previous. She was about to give up, when she came across Joe.
"Joe. Slim build; mid-30s; employed; interested in a low maintenance relationship with a lovely lady."
*If you want to read the rest of this story (or have me write one that goes on a slightly different tangent), then award my bid. My bid is for a standard-sized novel of 60-70 thousand words, but I am willing to negotiate based on requirements. I also understand that a novel cannot be stopped if the story is not complete, so will go for the word count that is most appropriate for the story.
