Convert image (with text) to vector file.

I? want to design a t-shirt on spreadshirt.net. I have an image. This image is scanned and bad quality. Who can convert this in a vector (Adobe Illustrator) file? The font family? must be identical to the one of the image. I don't know which it is. So you have to find/know. Click on 'set up' - 'transform into curves'.; You may run into a few problems when converting complex pixel graphics into curves. Try to convert as few individual objects and colours as possible. Note: vector graphics for plot printing can have up to three colours per design.**** * ****Check the minimum size of the object After you've converted to curves, you'll have to check every element of the design to make sure that it has a minimum size of 1.5 mm. One trick for checking this: create a small circle with a diameter of 1.5 mm and lay it over the smallest parts of the design. If the area is smaller than the circle, it's too small for plot printing.**** * ****Save image as vector graphic Unfortunately, you cannot just open a pixel graphic into a vector programme and save it in a vector format (.eps.) This is not enough. You have to manually make sure the pixel graphic has been converted into curves.**** ****? **** # **My design for plot printing has been rejected by the Spreadshirt Designs Service. Why?** ### **Too complex** **Please note that the different colour shades will be cut as single layers and then printed separately on the t-shirt. With complex designs sometimes we aren't sure how the different elements are supposed to be combined. Please thake this into account when you create your designs, and make sure they are cearly marked.** **? ** **** ### **Not a vector graphic** **Your design is a pixel graphic which has not yet been converted into contours/paths. We can only use fully vectorised graphics for plot printing.** * **Simple graphics without colour gradients can easily be vectorised .** * **Multicoloured designs with colour gradients or photos are not suitable for plot printing.** **** ### **Too many anchor points** **Your design is made up of many anchor points. This may mean that the plot machine is not able to follow the lines properly and may cut through the design.** **Please try to create your image with as few anchors as possible. For a straight line, for example, you will only need a point at the start and a point at the end. If possible, please do not use more than 1000 anchors per design (2000 for complex designs).** **** ### **Not converted into curves** **All elements ??" including text and small lines ??" must be in contours/paths. This is important since every object is cut out along the outer line defined by the contour/path.** **? ** **** ### **Lines too thin** **Some elements in your design do not meet our size requirements. Please make sure that:** * **all visible elements of your design are at least 1.5 mm (0.06 inches,)** * **space in between should not be smaller than 1 mm (0.04 inches),** * **the complete design must not be larger than 30 x 30 cm (11.8 x 11.8 inches.) We recommend a general size of 22.5 x 22.5 cm (8.86 x 8.86 inches).** **** ### **Vector paths not closed** **In the contour or path view you can see that your design seems “cut?? due to one of the following reasons:** * **Curves or paths may not be properly closed.** * **Curves and paths overlap, which means that in the printing, the blade will end up cutting through one of the lines/paths, and therefore through the design. Please remove all lines/paths from your design which are not necessary for the image.** * **Your design has too many anchor points. If it is possible, please do not use more than 1000 anchors. This problem can appear when you're exporting to .eps format. Please try saving your design as .eps instead.** **** ### **Overlapping design elements** **The different colour parts of your design are too close to each other. In positioning the colour foils for plot printing, they can be displaced up to 2 mm during the printing process. Please be aware of this when creating your design.** * **Please create your design in a way so that all different colour parts are clearly separated from each other** **or** * **place the different colours parts onto each other and create the lower one as a filled object.** **** ### **Design already uploaded** **It is not necessary to upload your image in different colours or sizes:** * **We release all designs scaled as small as possible. So you do not need to upload a smaller or larger version of your design.** * **Colours can be changed afterwards in your shop administration, so you don't need to upload different colour versions of your design.** **** ### **File error** **The file you uploaded has an error and cannot be opened. You can save or export your design in .svg, .ai (CS 2,) .cdr (V 11/13) or .eps formats from a graphics program of your choice.** **** ### **MUST BE .ai !** **** ### **Too many colours** **You have more than 3 colours or colour gradients in your design. For technical reasons we can unfortunately only print a maximum of 3 different colours per design. Please reduce the number of colours in your design!** **Please create your design without a background colour. If you are trying to upload a white design, please change the object to a light grey.
