Activate a hyperlink on a button within an .AI file which will work on an iPad

I have some completed artwork (.AI), but I have one small issue. There is a Contact Us button within the artwork, which has a hyperlink embedded behind it. When you create the .pdf, the link functions perfectly on laptops and Android mobile devices. However, the link does not work on Apple devices. I believe the solution lies in "rasterizing" the total image and then re-writing the .pdf. If you can help resolve this situation and help with testing, I'll look fwd to having a chat.
