I am starting a blog and I need an eye-catching banner. The blog will be called 'Rant About' and as the name suggests will be a kind of satirical, ironic commentary on current events, social issues, and basic goings on in the world and online space. The vision I have for the banner at the moment (although I am totally open to any improvements or suggestions) is a silhouette of a females head, on the right side of the banner facing towards the left, side profile with the mouth open, yelling. The words 'Rant About' coming out of the mouth so that the letters are bigger on the left side and smaller the closer they are to the mouth. Font wise, I want it nice and sleek, professional, kind of curvy but not thin and cursive. Just so it has character and intrigue. A fun font that suits the vibe of the blog. As for colours, the blog itself will have a lot of neutral greys and whites with small hints of more aggressive colours like red, because I think that will suit the tone of the blog best. Although as stated above, I am still open to suggestions. So the banner should be darker than the rest of the blog, maybe darker greys, some black even? And of course a bit of red to flow with the blog. I haven't got any thoughts on the background of the banner, so I am looking for examples and suggestions from you for that. Looking for a quick job, done in a couple of days. I'm really trying to get this project moving and the banner is going to be the start and inspiration for the rest of the blog design.
