This website will be for players, their scouts and coaches. Thomas wants a place to find other kids who he can scout and help train and/or place in teams or other coaches. Private schools, Semi-Pro teams (when they are older), Colleges, etc , there is no system to connect players w/ Scouts. Players are kids who play a sport. Coaches are people who lead/coach teams. Scouts are people who recruit players for coaches. I will refer to Coaches and Scouts as "Scouts" to keep things simple. Coaches can be Scouts and Vice Versa. They are basically the same, but one person can be both. Think of this as Linked in for Youth Elite Sports, a place to connect players to Scouts, players/coaches create profiles and list the Organization they work But Coaches and Scouts will list their past experience and current like on linked in. There are two sides to this. Players, players can't talk w/ each other. They also can't solicit Scouts. They use it to store their game stats, profile, history of teams played, academic history, health history a complete profile on the player videos, photos but the player cannot connect or solicit Coaches/Scouts. BUT the Coaches and Scouts can solicit players to connect with. imagine you are an ice hockey player and you want to eventually play pro you need to work your way up. you might be 12 yrs old, but you have this as your goal The path is Youth Elite Hockey, High School or Private School, Junior A Hockey, then College or Pro so there are scouts looking for players to fill their team at each of these levels I am going to say Scout because that covers Coaches and Scouts Scouts don't want to be pressed by the parents or the players all of the time. They want to be very selective on who they contact they also want to "Track" players progress to see what they are doing and how the y are doing So, a Scout can make a one way invitation to a player. If the player accepts then the scout can contact /talk w/ the player and vice versa as long as the link is in place link = connection. The scout can see all of the players data and stay up to date. This forces the players to meet the scouts outside of the Internet and reach them. If a scout meets a player at a game they can tell the player that they will reach out to them via uScout and the connection is made. Also Scouts like to talk w/ each other about players So the scouts need the ability to link with one another. Scouts can contact other scouts to connect Once they are connected if they share the same players that they are linked into they can make private comments/notes about the player to post privately or publicly (public only to the Scouts) Players never see the notes it is a way for Scouts/Coaches to network and then also scout players etc So there is a fine line between Scouts/Coachs and Players. It is Linked in for Youth Elite Sports We will start with Hockey first, then add other sports like Lacrosse, Basefall, Football (Soccer), Cricket, etc this is a proof of concept thus why I wanted to use Dolphin/ ELGG/PHPFox etc Also, the players and coaches sign up and use for free. Coaches/Scouts are always free right now. Players can have a free account to: store stats, profile, playing history, adedemics. But if they want to be connected to a scout, upload video, photos, they need to pay A scout can contact a free user, but if the user wants to accept then they need to pay the subscription is around $10/month
