We have a basic dashboard containing a number of charts, tables, and KPIs and we'd like a designer with experience working with dashboards to redesign it and make it look really good. The audience is for this dashboard is a business professional - typically an executive or senior manager in a corporation that will use the information presented in the dashboard to make business decisions.
The current dashboard was created using our proprietary system. The designer we hire will use a combination of our system - which generates the dynamic elements of the dashboard (charts, tables, and KPIs) - and their own illustration tools to enhance the look and feel of the dashboard with images that will be uploaded to our system.
We will provide an account in our system and access to online training videos explaining how our system works. The designer will deliver a completed dashboard in our system as well as all the supporting image files that were uploaded to our system to complete the dashboard.
We anticipate that there will be several phone conversations and emails between us throughout the project to clarify goals and refine the design. Good communication skills are important, in addition to top level design expertise, particularly in the area of dashboards and visually presenting quantitative data.
