Hi there Speece, I do a lot of security work and deal with login issue all the time, generally finding vulnerabilities in sites etc, and an error of any kind showing up on a webpage can give a lot of information to a potential attacker. It should be quite alarming if the error just popped up and lets hope its to do with some sort of OS upgrade that happened, if not it will need to be investigated thoroughly. I can check your source to determine the error fix the issue with that and put some best practices to make the login process more secure. I seem to have a knack for fixing pesky errors like the one you describe. Can you give me some background on the environment? asp is the language but on what iis version and server? How is login page authenticated? Is their a DB we connect to or something else. I am in Toronto. If you look at mye reviews, I have a number of these types of issues and successfully corrected the issue.
