I need a program, that I can run from my desktop, that will go to a horse racing results page on the internet (e.g. [login to view URL]) and download to a csv all the current day's flat racing results. The csv file should have the date in the name of the file and should be structured in the following way: Record ID A: Race information. This record line should contain: Course name, Time of race, distance of race (in furlongs), Ground type (going), winning time in seconds, 1st place prize money, 2nd place prize money, 3rd place prize money, 4th place prize money (as applicable). Record ID B: Horse details. This record line will be repeated for each horse that ran in the race detailed in the previous type A record, and should contain: Horse name, horse age, horse weight, finishing position in race, distance beaten Preferably written in any of the above programming languages, but will listen to alternatives. Deliverables: Completed desktop application and all source code

Hello there, I can do this project for you. I can create a program with a GUI for you which can be run on any platform (Windows/Mac/Linux). The prgoram would show the records in a GUI before saving it into a .csv file so you would have the option of altering some values or reviewing the output before saving them into a file. I have lots of experience programming in C# and Python. I think it is best to parse the data from the web using python. Therefore, I would split the problem to two project. First, parse the data and put it in an xml file using Python. second, reconstruct the data to a csv file using C#.
