Introduction Our client is [login to view URL] who is the Owner Sethma Hospital ,Queens Road , Gampaha. He requires very reliable and accurate software for the payments and stock management since they are not using the currently running software for the financial purposes. The hospital maintains a Pharmacy , a Laboratory , Out Patient Department and Investigation units. So patients reserve their services from those sections . In order provide quality healthcare program hospital charges fair amount from the patients . So our main ambition is to manage those payments and in the back end we should manage the stock too. Here the management requires reports that shows the over roll profits from the service that they maintain . Although Profit basically means Income – Expense here our software is not cover charges of inpatients and payroll of the hospital staff . Since of the current operating software mange inpatients and accounts department maintains their own method for payroll management. Problem analysis They are currently operating software in the hospital but its not functioning well enough for their needs. So they need to develop a software more reliable and advance especially in financial part. And also the current software does not manage payments for the Pharmacy , Laboratory tests , Investigation units , Out Patient Department. And the stock is not manage properly too. We need to categorize patients under Patient identity to analyze their records very efficiently. And there are some practical issues in the hospital, launching a software every and each task because they need to appoint computer operators for certain sections. And some of the doctors and staff also in a negative point of view on automating the hospital system. And also some of the OPD charges cannot be fixed early like dressings , surgeries etc. Those charges decide by the doctor or nurse according to the condition of the patient. And also recognize the value of a patient details, specially the records about patient’s past health status from a doctor’s point of view. To Manage purchasing and payments we have searched their records , watch their reports closely. So it is to recognize the interconnectivity between stock and accounts department . And how we develop this system into a software which is more user friendly and highly reliable for the management staff.
