Hi, I have one jave chess game written using Swing. Basic app, well documented for starters in java. Dropme a line if you are interested.

Just to clarify what you are after: A top down view of a chess board, With black and white squares. With letters representing each chess piece. For example 'K' for the King, 'Q' for the Queen, 'C' or 'R' for castle/Rook. 'kn' for Knight? "Drag and drop" for the movement of pieces? I am assuming the game involves player vs player, and not player vs computer. The reason I need 6 days to complete it is because I will be very busy over the next 3 days with my job.
