create simple adobe air rss ticker

I want to create a very simple adobe air app, an RSS feed ticker. There is an existing project that has its code open source, you are welcome to modify it (remove most of the extra features it has) and use that as the basis or start it yourself. [login to view URL] If we go with that, id like to remove some of the features, namely the ability for multiple rss feeds since its just for my company, also some of the graphical effects which seem to just slow it down, I can go into this more if you want to modify this.
