Ajax Textarea List Builder JQuery Plugin

Thanks for your time. I would like to partner with a highly competent JavaScript developer to write a custom JQuery plugin as a generic function which would be accessible via standard JQuery syntax. If we call this plugin [url removed, login to view], instantiating would be done as follows:

$("selector").thingLookup();

In this case "selector" will be a textarea element.

The plugin will do the following:

1. Transform the selector textarea by adding a widget toolbar and button

2. Allow users to actuate an ajax search dialog window with that button

3. Via the search dialog, query a third party web REST service

4. Select any results of the search query and add them to the original textarea as a list

The plugin should be written to accept a few parameters, probably 10 parameters maximum to send to the web service. The web service response is JSON formatted objects.

The working plugin will allow users to do the following:

1. Click the button/link on the transformed textarea to actuate a modal dialog

2. Search using the search interface and browse results

3. Select specific results and click "add"

4. This dumps the search results as a list in the original transformed textarea.

I will own the solution and intellectual property. I would like to partner with a developer for the ongoing improvement and repository and documentation maintenance.

Development constraints:

1. Assume we are working on Bootstrap CSS, latest version and JQuery latest version

2. Write the plugin code generic with clear syntax that can be followed and adjusted, for example changing the web service URL for the ajax call should be easy to do

3. Write the plugin to accept parameters. For example, those implementing the plugin should be able to scope the search parameters somewhat, define the returned object data for list population, and also determine the delimiter for the lists (spaces, tabs, line breaks, commas, etc.)

Please be readily available via Skype or other methods of communication, and have a good familiarity with JQuery syntax and REST web services in general.

I have added a wireframe model of the desired functionality which this plugin will provide. Page 1 is the default textarea element, on page 2 the result of calling the plugin on that textarea element is modeled. Subsequent screens illustrate the desired interaction.
