Develop sets of terms and conditions for general use.

We are a small start-up looking for a lawyer to perform a legal research and develop a special multi-purpose set of terms and conditions (T&Cs) of service for websites (including privacy policy). Most websites do not require highly specialised T&Cs and are even advised to copy other website’s terms in order to avoid extra legal costs as their work does not involve any non-standard agreements with end-users. We seek to help those website owners by providing a way of efficiently generating T&Cs suitable for most common purposes while avoiding legal charges associated with it. In addition, we aim to help end users to understand better what kind of service they are signing up for. Therefore, we need a professional and open minded lawyer. We need a single set of general purpose website terms and conditions targeted for use with most major kinds of websites to be developed. It must be written in plain simple English. It should be precise and to the point. It should be minimalistic yet legally correct and acceptable. Each section and all major points must have a human-readable summary. An example of such summary might be the Creative Commons license overview. We need it to cover at least the following possible website arrangements: • Corporate/personal • Forums, blogs and image boards • News and other information website • Original content providers • Ecommerce • Galleries and media sharing • Marketplaces and on-demand manufacturing • Wiki • Hybrids of all above The following types of websites are optional: • Social networks • Search engines • Others This general purpose terms and conditions must be at least legally correct in the UK, the rest of the European Union and North America with a priority for the UK. T&Cs should be split into small sections and for each there must be a human readable summary. Each sections should clearly indicate where non-standard information (e.g. company name, price, address, etc.) is required to be filled in with. If an information required is standard and can have only a limited number of possible options, then all possible options should be stated (e.g. company structure: LTD, PLC and so on). If information is standard but has unlimited number of options, then few typical and most likely options should be stated. Such sections should have a clear indication that other options are possible in addition to the given (e.g. governing law: England and Wales, Germany, France, other). If, for a type of required information, no standard options exist or there are too many possibilities, then this kind of information should be treated as non-standard. These T&Cs must be capable of easily changing what their targeted at. It should be done by adding and removing sections as well as choosing different options within sections themselves. Some clauses may have a number of completely different variations depending what kind of online services its owners are aiming at providing. If this is the case, then a human readable summary must exist for every version of the section of interest.
