I have a number of Data traces (A single data trace is given in Figure-1, attached here-with). The perturbation in the signal is shown at the actual distance of 3.75m. I have total of 10,000 such traces and each of these signals represents the perturbation between 3m to 4m. I want to apply some classification algorithm/ clustering algorithm and/or Neural network technique to provide exact location about the perturbed signal. It should be noted that the algorithm should be robust enough to estimate the location of perturbation at any location. For-example, it might be possible for first 1000 traces to have perturbed position at 3.75m and for another 800 traces the perturbed position might be at some other location. Or it might also be possible to have perturbation simultaneously at more than one location.
Please read the question carefully and while applying bid, provide necessary information about the algorithm you want to implement in my case. Applying multiple algorithms with competitive price may lead the chance of winning the bid. The program should be in Matlab or Python.
I have worked extensively with machine learning and deep learning. Since you mentioned that you have 10000 separate traces, that means a lot of data, which is perfect for building a robust model.
I have two algorithms in mind
1. Using an entire trace as a sequence of signal strengths and predicting at which sequence the anomaly exists, using Recurrent Neural Networks (LSTM's to be exact). (Kind of a classification task)
2. Using the entire image of the trace as it is, and training a Convolutional Neural Network over it. (More like a regression task.)
I have a question. What kind of an accuracy are you expecting? In terms of Mean absolute error between predicted value and the actual value?
