I am looking to create a new mobile app development company with this project as the cornerstone. I'm looking for someone that is interested in getting involved in something very big that will be going well beyond this first creation.
Brief summary of the basic functioning of the app:
Give driving directions, both visually and through audio, to and from several preset locations and be able to recognize the arrival at each one. The arrival triggers the ability of the user to launch powerpoint style presentations, with video, moving graphics, and accompanying audio. The conclusion of each presentation will prompt the user to return to their car and move to the next location.
Certain locations will require an added AR experience, taking in camera input and overlaying moving graphics on top of it, along with supplementary audio. These AR experiences will become available by the user entering a predetermined location-based zone and subsequently pointing the camera at a predetermined object recognizable by the app, which then initiates the experience. The AR will need to encompass a nearly 360 degree zone. The actual graphics used in the AR experience will be very simple, so the focus will be on accuracy and a smooth delivery. This experience is key to the success of the app and proving one's ability to create a smooth, high-quality experience in this department will be the main burden of proof for the prospective programmer. There will be about 4-5 of these AR experiences throughout.
Video, images, and audio will be created and supplied by me once the programmer determines what are the best formats and ways to implement them.
Your qualifications:
- The ability to integrate maps, driving directions, GPS locations, camera input and Bluetooth connectivity to nearby users.
- A proven track record of efficiency in your work and clean designs. If you do not have an extensive record, I am willing to allow you to prove yourself with small samples of the project.
- I will employ the right candidate regardless of location, but I can't deny my preference for a Seattle-area candidate. I'm also going to take this opportunity to weed out those that are not actually reading the entirety of my post. Put "Sounders" in the subject of your response to this ad, or it will be ignored.
