I want a modification of a program I've made. The source code is attached. It's been created with Borland C++ Builder. There currently is a performance/speed flaw in the program. Thread execution time is 10 sec on my computer (2 GHz). If I comment out a->Parent = this->TheParent; // [login to view URL] line 23 thread execution time falls to 0.2 sec. But I want to assign the Parent property to control positioning. I'm starting to learn C++, but I'm tired using hours on this silly problem. Hopefully only a small modification is required (couple of lines). Note: I am aware of VCL/Syncronize-issues, but I don't believe they apply to non-visual VCL objects. Note: The same flaw appears if it the code segment is executed in the main VCL thread. I created a seperate thread to keep the GUI responsive.
