Convert Simple MFC Visual C++ 6 Application to an OCX for use in Visual Basic 6

I have an application with 1 dialogue written in C++ using Visual Studio 6 built using MFC framework. Its fully working and tested to be functional. (It has 3 buttons, 4 checkboxes, and a progress bar) I need to host this functionality within a VB6 application and require the functionality of the VC++ application to be ported to an Active X (OCX) control that can run in VB 6 on Windows 98, 2000 and XP. The control needs to support approximately 4 methods, provide access to internal; properties to VB and also support the publishing of approximately 4 events to the host application (VB in this case) The exposed methods on the OCX will allow the VB application to trigger the functionality behind the push buttons that exist within the existing application. You will need experience in Visual Studio 6 C++ , MFC , Active X, possibly ATL depending how you choose to write the control and VB6. You will have experience writing active X controls in C++ that can be hosted in Visual Basic 6. I have all the source code for the VC++ application. 90% of the effort is just knowing how to change this application to an Active X control and then exposing a few methods and events on the Active X object. The application uses some API’s that interact with external hardware via USB. This is shielded from you and wrapped in a DLL library and will not add any complexity to your coding. This however means you will not be able to fully test the functionality of the OCX as you will not have access to the hardware. I expect 2 or 3 Quick iterations of you sending me code to test and me sending you the results back. Note, the OCX must be written in C++ as the hardware DLLs are not supported under VB. This is the first part of several stages of a project and will certainly lead to further work. Active X control must be written in Visual Studio 6. ( I will need to recompile it on my end when I get the source.) I would require the Active X object and source code to be developed and delivered in 2 stages. Stage 1: the UI is ported and a framework with placeholders for logic behind UI is in place. This will be a completed Active X object that is functional in VB and is able to report its properties to VB and able to accept method calls from VB possibly showing popup msg boxes reporting when a method has been triggered.. Stage 2: The complete logic behind the UI is then added to the control and presented for testing. 2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
