Delphi application to upload articles to a MediaWiki site

Coder will develop a Delphi app that will upload new articles and images from a local Windows computer to a remote MediaWiki wiki site to create new page and image content. A simple PHP script which accomplishes a similar task can be viewed [here][1]. User will use a File > Open dialog and select one or multiple files to upload. Application will use progress bars and status text to indicate the progress of the upload, and will have an Abort button to cancel the application during uploads without having to forcibly kill the process. Coder will include support for multiple articles within one file; this can be done by using a new line with "%%%[article name]" to define a new article name, followed by the actual article content. This is being used to build pages for my own Wiki site and is not being used for spamming. Must work with MediaWiki 1.6.10 -- you may build for another MediaWiki version but I will check to ensure it works on 1.6.10. Coder will be provided access to a testbed MediaWiki site if he/she would like to test while developing. As part of this bid I allow Coder to retain rights to his/her software; the Coder may distribute or sell it. I reserve the right to use and modify it for my own purposes. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. ## Platform I must be able to compile the application under Delphi 5. I prefer that the coder include libraries or use the free fpiette THTTPCli component to avoid headaches with external dependencies.
