I am creating an OsCommerce based store selling Plaques and Trophies. I need to have custom text field added to the products (each product) where the customers can enter what they want engraved on the item. Some products cannot be engraved so the field should be grayed-out/no display for those product. The entry/content of the custom field must be store in the database. I need the characters counted and total multiplied by a constant dollar amount -50 chars at no charge.( I have to be able to change the amount as prices go up.) Then, the computed dollar amount has to be added to the cost of the plaque, (a separate line). Both the custom entry and the cost must show on the invoice. The code and changes has to be implemented/incorporated into the online store, tested, and functional. The custom field has to be per product, since a visitor may buy more than one item needed engraving. Time line and project time must be delivered and kept to.
## Deliverables
1) Incorporate and implement complete and fully-functional working program(s) in to the Oscommerce online store, as well as deliver complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
OsCommerce is an Open Source e-commerce program. Compatibility with Windows and Mac OS based client machines. IE, Firefox, Safari compatibility a must.
