I have this php script that gets stock quote from Yahoo finance, with fopen call. But many hosts disallow fopen and asks for curl use. Would need to change this to use CURL.
<?php
//stock quote script
//this is the url for Google's stock quote , we are opening it for reading
$fp = fopen ("[[login to view URL]<wbr />[login to view URL]<wbr />=GOOG&<wbr />f=sl<wbr />1d1t1c1ohg<wbr />v&e=.csv][1]",<wbr />"r");
//this uses the fgetcsv function to store the quote info in the array $data
$data = fgetcsv ($fp, 1000, ",")
?>
Price: <?=$data[1];?>
