Needed: Content Management System and porting of two existing sites. Developer's duties include:
1. Selection and customization an existing open-source / GPL solution (eg PostNuke, Mambo, etc); must run on our existing VPS: PHP 4.3 on MySql 3.23
2. Design of templates for 2 sites
3. Entry of all text/images copied from existing site (we will also provide some old/disabled articles from our DB)
4. Documentation (possibly as simple as a link to the public docs for the CMS, plus a brief diagram/description of how the ported content was laid out in the CMS)
Take a look at <[login to view URL]> and <[login to view URL]> -- these are the sites which will be ported, and the CMS must be flexible enough to emulate the look & feel of these two sites. It need not be an identical look, but should be quite close. While the two sites do not need to be run out of the same instance of the CMS, there should be a clean template-based way of installing the same CMS onto two different sites, then picking the appropriate skin for the 'vicmarcus' look or the 'vortexadvisory' look.
Specific features:
- 100% PHP on MySql
- template capable
- dynamic 2-level left navigation bar
- static or dynamic footer navigation
- 'articles' (show most recent or selected 3 items from an inventory of manually-entered articles); multiple groups of articles
- fairly intuitive interface (primary user is a non-programmer)
- desired but not required: upload large files (videos) for download by visitors
Due to forces beyond our control, only US-based developers can be considered.
Please provide portfolio or description of similar previous work, and mention the specific open-source CMSs which you would consider using.
Thanks!
