[url removed, login to view] is running on php-nuke 4.2 There are about 800 stories, and a few thousand comments. Please note that not every SID is in use in the 1-800 range - a few were deleted. I'd like to migrate to a slash site, and take the following data out of the php-nuke DB an insert into the slash DB . Ideally product would be a script that did the conversion that i could make available for others wanting to do conversion. Need to move over the following data 1. Stories 2. comments 3. user names & email addresses 4. polls w/ comments [alternately we turn the poll text into stories and preserve the comments that way] in that order of priority. This is a data preservation and search-tool feeding exercise. We send the users email telling them to re-register, no problem, so no need to transfer passwords. I'd settle fairly happily for 1 & 2 and a list of 3 that I could feed to a listserve. Detailed description of data to move/preserve *Main story* -Story number (we'd like the new versions of the existing stories numbered so we can have a clear metric allowing a mapping from old URL to new URL; alternately we need a perl redirect script which will lookup something to do the mapping/redirect) [NOTE: there are a very few gaps where stories were deleted, so current numbering is not perfectly consecutive] -Topic to which story belongs -Story date -Story author -Story poster -Story content (!) *comments* -Story to which comment belongs -Comment date -Comment content -Comment author -Comment attachment to main story -Placement in a thread when applicable -[optional: Numerical rating (currently all are rated either -1, 0, 1)] *user data* -User names -User emails [would be real handy to also output a separate comma-delimited list we could use for a mass mailing]
## Deliverables
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
## Platform
Unix, perl (w/ mod_perl) but machine it's moving to does not have PHP.
## Deadline information
Preference to offers of quicker jobs. Evidence of experience with the DB aspects of these programs a plus. I will provide snapshot of [url removed, login to view] php-nuke 4.2 DB to coder for trials, testing, but script will need to work on actual icannwatch DB as it exists at time of use.
