A small project involving Online web shop

We need an online shopping website that allows us to track customers as individuals throughout the website and keep records on them in terms of their buying habits, average spend, the demographics of our customers, etc. We also need the website to be optimized with Google searches and a few other features.

- Variable freight quotes for different states (for me to be able to edit these in the admin panel on an individual item basis)

- Option for international customers. When they select a country *other* than Australia a screen will come up to *request a total* (similiar to what happens on eBay)

- When multiple items are purchased only the most expensive items freight price is charged in full, the remainder will be charged at half price.

- Instant credit card transactions to be implemented

- Payment options to include:

- PayPal (to work in conjuction with the website)

- Direct Deposit

- Money order

- Cheque (make sure there is an emphasis on the cheque needing to clear prior to goods being sent out and then have a confirmation screen (eg. your order may take 3-5 days longer when paying with a cheque in comparasson to our other payment methods, do you want to continue)

- With the back end of the order system I want automated buttons such as: Payment reminder, Payment received, Order sent etc. Automated emails to be associated with these.

- Once item is sent I can enter the con note number in the system as well as select the courier that was used and the URL of the courier so the customer can track the order.

- Search facility which can search by make, model and engine type (when adding items, make sure it is possible to select *various* and some products are interchangeable with a number of makes, models and engine types)

- Make *tokens* available to people that sign up with our website

- The token prices won't be able to be viewed unless the member has signed up.

- When logging into our website they will need to enter this token number (which will be updated twice a month and sent to there email address).

- The customer once logged in can also *request token* in case they have accidently deleted there email, another will then be sent.

(this is to encourage customers to log in, and also make it so we can track there every move on our website)

- Main catergories to be on the side panel (left) and then once clicked on the sub catergories will appear below the main catergory. The home page to stay as it is until a sub catergory is selected.

- Option to see where all traffic is going throughout the website and what searches are being taken place.

- BIG emphasis on google searches. We need the website to be optimised very well!

- On the bottom left of the layout (below item categories) we will have *supported car clubs* and then links to the car clubs which we support (make both images as well as text to be put in there and act as links, for them to be able to be deleted and added by myself)

- A gallery to be included which customers (once logged in) can add/delete images and videos (but they must be approved by myself before being shown on the website). Sub catergories in the gallery to be able to be edited by myself also.

- Company profile to be on homepage of the website as well as some *specials* and *news*

- Pages at top of the screen to include: Search, log in, Payment options, Freight, Warranty, Contact us.

- Contact us to also have a picture or something to indicate instant chat (this is to be shown on the main page once customers log in) and then we can chat with customers immediately. NOT to be through MSN (too many random people add me and want to be my friend)

- Each item on the website to have the option to have an attachment associated with it for things such as installation guides.
