Digital camera capture

We are currently using a digital camera to capture pictures of items to be archived into our database through a web application. However, because the number of pictures we need to take can go up to 200 pictures or more, the downloading and keying in of the data takes a lot of time. We tried using a webcam to capture live picture but the quality is too poor (we need to use at least a 1M pixel camera) and we still need to run through several processes (taking the picture through the camera software, saving the files, renaming the file, transfering it to our application). Therefore, we hope find a solution for the above problem with the creation of the following component with the following features to our application: 1) Capture live image from multiple camera (optional requirement) 2) View live images from camera, capture live image, display image, store image with delete option. 3) Trigger capture with flash light (optional requirement). 4) Zoom in/zoom out (optional). 5) Timer based capture. 6)Multiple sequence capture w/ time interval (example: taking pictures every 5 seconds for a certain amount of shots). I am open to the cameras that I may need to use (as long as they are not expensive and freely available. Of course, I hope that the application will support multiple type of cameras). Types of programming language used: preferably Java. I am open to suggestions. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Win platform, Linux (not expected but wished)
