This project is for an Adobe AIR Application and associated shell scripts that will allow the AIR app to execute WSCRIPT (on Windows) or APPLESCRIPT (on Mas). ? AIR cannot do this by itself, it needs to do this:
1) Create a shell script that launches AIR app
2) AIR app writes Applescript code to a local text file ([login to view URL])
3) Shell script periodically checks for local text file?
4) If text file is found, shell script reads and executes apple/wscript
5) The script response is saved to another text file ([login to view URL])
6) AIR app checks for [login to view URL], opens and reads the response
7) When user closes AIR app, shell script also closes
The AIR app created for this project only needs to be a simple test app to make sure the shell scripts are working. ? The AIR app should have two buttons: PLAY and PAUSE which cause iTunes to PLAY or PAUSE the current song.
The deliverables will be:
1) The AIR app
2) Windows shell program
3) Mac shell program
4) Installation instructions (and html code) for Mac and Windows
