**Web Designer must also have knowledge about PC hardware and compatibility with hardware.
The interface is already practically done, but my web designer has flaked and I have not heard from him in over a week. You can get the gist of the design from the sample I proved below.
Basically the end-user should be able to customize their own computer in the flash interface that is already designed. The details of every product should be displayed when the user clicks the radio buton for the product, the overall and relative prices should update as well. The user can "submit" their configuration and we get notified and can review and comment on the configuration. The user can "save" their configuration, and come back to it later. The user can "buy" configuration and bypass our comments and go straight to a payment gateway and pay for the computer. Users can register/login, save configurations, add product to their shopping cart, and a few other small things.
On the admin side, we have an admin panel for the interface. We can add product, update details on the products, and change quantities in stock. All the products are added to the "hardware" page, and can also be added to computer configurations. When we add a product we input all the details (details for processors, RAM, video cards, etc.) We should also be able to create "configurations" that will be displayed (ie: Super Gaming Computer, Ultra-Quiet Computer, Media-Editing PC, etc). When we create these configurations we should be able to select which parts (probably check boxes) will be available (we do not want to offer loud fans in the Ultra-Quiet Computer), and also the default part for each catagory. When we add new configurations they should be displayed on the "Custom Computer" subpage, and we should also be able to choose if we want it displayed on the home page (layout will look the same as it does now).
Compatibility is also a huge issue in the customization interface. After the user selects a configuration (or decides to build from scratch), only parts that are compatible should be displayed. If the user selects a Socket 478 motherboard, only Socket 478 compatible processors, video cards, etc should be available. Same for all the parts, all this should be done server-side, and can all be calculated by the information entered when admins add new products (everything should probably be dropdowns for part specs).
The curent interface can be viewed at:
[login to view URL] (just click "customize"). After the job is done I can also give access to admin panel etc.
*** ONLY SERIOUS OFFERS PLEASE***
IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS, DO NOT BID. ONLY SERIOUS BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
Please have knowledge about PC Hardware, and be able to modify the current interface. It is 75% done, so the remainder should not bee too difficult, pricey, or time consuming.
If a good job is done on this project, there may be other projects in the future as well.
Thanks.
