PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE BIDDING. We are looking for a company to develop a dating site. The basic look and feel of the site will be like [login to view URL] though more edgy, modern and romatically grungy looking. Some of the key features we are looking for are: 1. Membership Control There are two ways a person can become a member: A) either the admin approves the membership; or B) members image and profile is put up for voting by exisiting members. Only when a member gets predefined "Yes" votes, he or she is allowed to come on board, search for members and contact them. Membership to this site will always be free. 2. Advertising Modules Since the site will be free for members, we need clevely allocated advertising space so that the site can generate some revenue over the long run. 3. Messaging System: The site needs to have an internal messaging system for members to communicate. Something similar to what [login to view URL] provides. No online chat system required. We do not have that much of bandwidth available. 4. Reporting/ Abuse The objective of this site to help people find love. Hence it is important to keep prostitutes and gigolos out of this site. Members should have ability to report other members to admin. In case any violation of terms and conditions is found, admin should be able to suspend/ delete member accounts. 5. SEO optimization Site should have features for SEO optimization. There should be a method in the site to add articles that would be visible to robots but not to public. Articles will be loaded by Admin team. 6. Search Features: The site should have both basic and advanced search features. This site should not support same sex searches. No offence meant to any particular group or thinking. We just want a site that is within our comfort zone. 7. Love Guru Feature The site will have a "Love Guru" feature. Members facing difficulty in love life can consult "Love Guru" via live chat at pre appointed times in batches of 30 minutes. Live chat will be done via skype/ yahoo/ msn. This is the only paid feature on the site. Admin should be able to set prices for this feature. 8. Gift Shop An Amazon linked gift shop if possible and affordable. This is an optional feature. 9. Express Interest/ Give Gifts Members should be able to express interest in other members and also give virtual gifts. Virtual gifts should be controlable by admin. We are not very hungup on getting the site handcoded from scratch. Vendors with existing scripts or those planning to modifying open source scripts like OSDate are welcome to participate in this bid.
