Dear Professional,
We seek an experienced individual to provide a solution to our problem. Please note that we are against a bit of a tight deadline so your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.
We are in the finishing statges of developing a website that will run off a CD-ROM. This website contains links that open PDFs. And within those PDFs there are VIDEO LINKS that point to quicktime video files that also reside on the CD.
Problem is that we keep getting the Adobe Security Warning little window every time we click on a link despite the fact that we check the box where it says: "REMEMBER THIS ACTION FOR THIS SITE FOR ALL PDF DOCUMENTS".
I've tested this issue on 4 PCs including: WinXP, Win7
as well as on 3 mac computers running OS 10.4 all the way up to the latest version which is 10.6.7
I have called adobe tech support which told me to bypass this with JavaScript but two developers are telling that it's not possible.
Please also note that this CD will be part of a medical book that will be sold in stores so the fix need to happen during the development–as opposed to asking the consumer to go and change some settings/preferences on their machines.
Hope you hear from you soon!
Regards,
Xavier Paredes
