Web site providing a database of gun friendly/unfriendly businesses around the country. Users can search specific states, cities, or zip codes. Users can add businesses to the database that are not currently included. Search results should provide google maps integration. Moderator area will allow mods to approve or deny comments, and database submissions. Mods should only have control over the state to which they are appointed. Admin area will allow admin to maintain entire site, as well as appoint, unappoint mods to specific states. Business owner area will allow the business owner to maintain contact info, and rebut comments. ## Deliverables Here are some more detailed requirements I would like incorporated into the site. You can see the YELP similarities in some items. Main site: - Admin should be allowed to "feature" businesses on home page. Either "Recommended" or "Not Recommended". Or both. Multiples of either should be possible. - FAQ (static) - Contact Us (Static contact form) - News (Admin will add these) - Search database by Business Name, city, state, or zip (include radius search) - Browse database by state - User account creation. Email verification. Captcha required. User areas (User login only - must be logged in to perform any of this): - User profiles should include the number of businesses they've rated, the number of comments they have left, and a way for other users to be able to view those ratings and comments. - user profiles, including an avatar and signature. Users should be able to provide a URL, or upload an avatar. - Ability to rate entries (thumbs up or down plus a comment on their rating) - Ability to comment on an entry without rating. - Ability to add entries (will need to be approved by a mod) - Ability to view other members profiles. - Ability to add photos to a listing. (require mod approval) Mod area (Moderator login only - can only moderate the state they are assigned to): - Ability to mark businesses in their state as Gun Friendly, or Gun Un-friendly (with sub-reason), and change at any time. - Ability to approve/reject comments, photos and/or submission pending approval for their state. - Ability to delete comments and/or submissions from their state. - Ability to add new business listings to their state. - Ability to review business owner "claims" and approve/deny for their state. Admin area (Admin login only): - Ability to mark businesses site-wide as Gun Friendly, or Gun Un-friendly (with sub-reason), and change at any time. - Ability to approve/reject comments, photos and/or submission for entire site pending approval. - Ability to delete comments and/or submissions for entire site. - Ability to add new business listings to site, any state. - Ability to assign/unassign mods to specific states. - Ability to review business owner "claims" and approve/deny for entire site. - Ability to make comments moderated or not. If moderated, they will not post to the site until approved by a moderator from the state which they are posted in. If un-moderated, they will post to the site immediately. - Ability to add new "News" items. Database listings: - Business name and address - Easily recognizable icon which specifies either "Gun Friendly" or "Gun Un-Friendly" ("Gun Unfriendly" should also have sub-icons: "Corporate Policy", "Store Policy", and "State Regulation") - Current rating (each thumbs up can increase rating by 1, each thumbs down can decrease it by 1) - Google maps integration - Photos that have been added. - Ability for business owner to "claim" the business. When someone does this, they will fill out a form with contact information. This info will then be reviewed by a mod/admin and the owner contacted to make sure it is a legitimate claim. If the mod determines it an appropriate claim, the claimants user account will be listed as business owner, and that provides them with additional options listed under business owners are below. Business Owner area: - Ability to update business listing (address, phone number, contact info, etc..) - Ability to "rebut" comments posted on it's listing.
